In fact, the story of glass paints doesn’t go in a systematic way since its foundation up till now, that because the different circumstances, goals and sources of each country. Such industry isn’t a craft aiming just benefit, but it is an impulsive and natural innovation rose from man’s spirit and its artistic skill. So, glass is both art and industry mainly depends on its structure on the mixture of natural materials consisting of (Na13 Ca4. Mg B2. Al Si30. O76), in addition to some metallic oxidations which assisting in its coloring, re-melting, its sudden cooling and its grinding, as it can be used as a color in painting, artistic treatment on glass surfaces then it can make from it a film layer by precipitation on polymer components.
It was treated some ceilings and glass apertures in the patrimony Egyptian architecture which becomes destructible as a result fire, wars and ruins. This led us to rediscover such artistic wealth, its rehabilitation and restoration by recent technology considered an element added for tourism attraction in Egypt. The invitation of rehabilitation and description of the artistic architectural works, which classified as a national wealth of monumental works has begun.
Some of these mentioned works “Banque Misr Head Building”, which its constructing idea returns to 1920, then a fire reached it and destroyed 75% of its dovetailed drawn glass ceiling with lead. Also “Faîka Hanem Palace” which implemented in 1908 then become later the Ministry Of Education, such palace considers one of the important architectural building, which attached negligence and damage within the years. Then instead of conserve it as a patrimony, we find it used as a governmental department and educational institution, this exposed it and its involved artistic works to damage and destruction as a result of the incorrect conservation or maintenance. That in addition to some monumental apertures and ceilings in the “international law & Economy Association, Prime Ministry Palace & Zaafaran Palace in Ain Shams University”.
