On the top of Pico Mountain in Malabo City in Equatorial Guinea there's the statue of St. Bassilia, who considers one of the Guinean people symbols, its fans come around the worldwide, where Guinea considers a country of the smallest area in Africa. From the north side find Cameron – from west side find Guinea Gulf and Gabon, as from east and south, and a large part of it is locating in the African land, and another part is consisting of several islands next to Cameron strand, and the land part is locating in the middle of Africa on Atlantic Ocean, where it is the only African country that its official language if Spanish.
Through the changeable atmosphere, the statue could be damaged and destroyed, as this has badly affected the people and gave the feeling of pessimism. After the regime stability in the State, it started thinking to re-plan the mountain's top, the square and making a statue honoring the mentioned Saint in away fits with the surrounded environment, the fixed habits and traditions in this society, that the material of the previous statue wasn't fit with such area, and then it exposed it to destruction and collapsing.
Through the agreements among the Egyptian and Guinean companies, it could assign researchers teamwork to study such problem within the visit to this area and to documenting it.
