dc.description.abstract | The last period of the twenty century has got a touchable progress in the architecture of the glass structural constructions that could make an outburst in using the transparent materials, the advanced technology. The glass considers one of the most important materials that have unique role for transparency, darkness, light features, strength, color reflection, living with the environment, self-cleaning, reducing the used cleaning in the building as it may be used in the treatments of the interior design of the building such as making the fixed and movable partitions, ceilings, floors, furniture units and the architectural fittings. To attach the wonder scientific development in such field, and according to its importance, it could be applied in some of the architectural constructions without technological scientific study conform with the building's nature, the surrounded environment and using. So, it was necessary to make a study for the limits and possibility of using the glass, and to know its features and how it fits the Egyptian environment. It could make an analytical study on some of the existing glass building in Egypt as follows: • The building's effect with the designing though of glass architecture and its conforming with the Egyptian environment. • The constructional effect to achieve the designing though. • Studying the glass types, the technological treatments, the radiant control and the specifications of glass walls such as soundproof, energy saving, shocks resistance and the required intelligence features in the building. Through the conclusions of the said study, it could treat many of the existing building in Smart Village at Alexandria Desert Road, included Network for Technological Systems N.P.C., by amending the specifications of the facades glass to be fit with the building's requirements, then redistribute the horizontal projection and the interior design of the building for: • The general site and the surrounded environmental factors. • The exterior design and its effect on inspiring the interior design lines, then linking the relation between the inside and outside of the building. • Change the building's glass with a type of the intelligence glass to fit with the surrounded environment and then to realize the functional fitness of the building. It could refer to the applied research conclusions in the specialized societies in glass architecture. | en_US |
