dc.description.abstract | The architectural glass facades in Egypt have impressed with the designing trends of the modern architecture, that could emphasize the useful aspect of technologies of making-up, the safety, enforcement, reflecting and isolation elements which all of them considering technological factors in a time designers are innovating to make the architectural glass facades through the realistic and imaginary lines and surfaces which making shapes in the facades, formed as a result of the necessary interior and exterior blocks and spaces for Man’s need. This gives the impression of tranquility for whom is residing in the building, where the architect designer determines the required intellectual line in design, putting into consideration to be involved the aesthetical, functional aspects and the making-up way based on his/her own experiments, the architectural and artistic movement, determining the aims and trends of the architecture users. Computer, new materials and construction technology could assist the simplicity of the finished architectural design and touch whether by lines or by the prismatic lines. Technique becomes more affected rather than previously for the architectural facades designing. The advanced technology time, the flown information and the resulted architectural shape revolution from the web in making-up have led to appear different directions trending to transparent architecture, trending to the higher direction like a pyramid such as in the Pharaoh’s architecture, that could be returned in a different aspect in pre-modernization architecture as a goal, adopting the design direction with deletion, the aesthetical reduction and confirming the architectural work itself by maximizing the outflow as a contrary reaction against elementary, wildness and overstating. In Egypt, we could not find in the pre-modernization architecture any aesthetical designs in facades may be patrimony conformed, but we find that the recent Egyptian architecture has followed the architecture in the Western Countries and transcribed it in its same style, and those involving something not fit with the Egyptian ecology and environment. The designer did not consider the aesthetical values in facades as in the patrimony architecture design, but he/she was had a lack in the forming elements which calling the sensual relish whether through the formation in the architecture shape in a way fits with the rapid development in the contemporary architecture movement or through assuring the color artistic value or touches in the surfaces. | en_US |
