dc.description.abstract | Architectural movement considers an expressive yield about originality and contemporary in artistic thinking as it expresses about social, economical and political life in all civilizations. Architecture forms and style are changing from an era to another, from country to another. That, glass plays an important role in architecture, where it is relevant since middle ages especially in Christian religious architecture. It distinguishing with its bright colors and its religious themes. Islamic architecture which distinguished with simplicity and various styles especially in dovetailed glass with plaster or wood, the wooden oriels which had various colors of glass. In addition to enrichment of housing architecture domes with sculpture glass lumps which poured in aesthetical forms. Artistic skill in light units, which called lanterns. In modern age, architecture forms have been changed then appeared new materials and architectural thought representing the modern movement. Using such developed techniques for glass manufacturing led to architects impression with these techniques and strongly uses them in modern architecture design. Architectural modern appearance related with philosophical trends has tangible and abstract style conflicting with several matters of ancient creeds. Such trends affirmed the developed new society satisfaction with architectural theories, this begins since appeared new forms wouldn’t known before conform to the developed technology and new philosophy of art and architecture. The architect designer Frank Lioydwright affirmed glass using as a basic element in its design which depending on organic scholar style. From its glass work figures (1,2,3) which depends on simplicity style to express and depending on transparency which affirms the organic harmony between outside and inside with using simple lines in colors affirming symbolism philosophy of work. Also architect artist Van Doebrng concerned glass using, where he considers one of the most famous artist of De steel school, his important works figures (4,5,6) which depending on modern art school style then got rid of traditional style and basic rules. The trend of using geometric forms and lines and that style which helped to change the traditional dovetailed glass art, but concerned the mutual color relation and forms between vertical and horizontal rectangle and the mutual relation between transparency and darkness. All of them are styles helped the appearance of aesthetical architecture. | en_US |
