dc.description.abstract | Scientific development in the modern age made architecture artists and designers all over the world closer and in connection by Computer, Information Network and Satellites that became connected to all the parts of the planet, the modern age also allow with its advanced scientific means, laboratory testing and analyzing methods, infra and different shadow emissions that enable getting acknowledge of how materials are formed and defining chemical and natural specification and properties that help discovering a new materials for architecture and decoration, the new age too help spreading the modern architecture thought in designs and architecture became almost similar, as techniques and materials are now available in the international markets profusely. The different environmental and climatic specification that was fit to every architectural building and every country according to its environmental, historical and climatic nature became unavailable. It is known that architecture is the collection of cultures and experiences of the different former and next civilizations, in addition to, thought and modern technologies fit to every environment. The Egyptian architecture exposed to a special climate as strong sunlight, dusts and winds along various times had an effect on the general features of the architecture since it was differentiated according to consecutive civilizations from pharaoh civilization to Coptic civilization and kingdom One that flourished, using wooden oriel, sabot, colored and gypsum-stained glass in it and the architectural façade of kingdom in Egypt have had an international features transformed to other countries such as beautification and practice in the architecture form and shape, then the period of Mohammad Ali Dynasty ruling came and a new shape of architecture that combines Egyptian heritage and international architecture schools has emerged to generate a unique Egyptian architecture. Under the current development and advanced technology in architecture field, many architects tried to confirm emergence of a new thought and formulation of Egyptian architecture that interacts with environment, connects to climate and works to resolve energy loss in Winter and high temperature in summer, so it found inevitable to make changes on the architecture facades and use the new glass that fulfill design and benefit needs of the Egyptian architecture. Glass of new excellent properties that fulfill environment needs and requirements such as heat reflection and changes on colors is used according to light deference and to achieve optical intercommunication and privacy in the Egyptian architectural facades, but the architectural wall covers weren't of the aesthetic values required to interact with the modern architecture, as a result we found our-selves obliged to study how we can get materials for the architecture covers that fit to the Egyptian environment and it found that the glass slabs and mosaic are the most valid materials for theses climate, the available Egyptian materials also used such as Dolomite, Limestone, Kaolin, Sodium Carbonate and some chemical colored elements for production of types of glass slabs and glass mosaic valid for facades and architectural artistic works in Egypt. | en_US |
