Architecture & its contemporary development whether in Egypt or in the worldwide considers as an upshot of previous civilizational experience, this currently called after “post-modernism architecture”.
The sources and doctrines of architecture are varying in Egypt pursuant to the different civilizations which passed through Egypt, that it sometimes exposes to the direct sun-rays, strong wind and dust, so we must select building materials carefully and also the used covering revetments in the architectural murals and facades, especially those which using in the external facades, as it must be selected carefully, therefore as glass and its derivatives consider an important element in architecture, it must pay attention to treat it in the same Egyptian ecological materials to be conformed with the Egyptian climate, that it can be made in double thickness and thermally reinforced (securite or triplex) till bearing strokes and temperature changing, so it can be colored and reflective till lose numerous part of such temperature before reaching building. Also it must use ceramics glass and glazed tiles to cover the architectural murals and facades because they have features and properties conforming the coastal, desert and agricultural Egyptian architecture, this focus the strong endurance against salts, acids and friction, in addition to the various colors and the soft touch pursuant to the required aesthetical values of design, and also its ability to isolate both heat and sound inside the building and the ease to be cleaned.
Studying glass material structure & the possibility to produce different types:
Through scientific studying and analysis, it was found that glass is made of natural materials plenty available in the Egyptian land like sand, igneous rocks, basalt, granite or sedimentary rocks like limestone, dolomite, loam and kaolin.
Also it may produce types of ceramic glass to be made of some different heavy industries like: cement filings or dust, filings of metals melting “metals”. That I provided some experiments led to obtain much more production of colored glass in addition to produce new types of ceramics glazed glass made of raw materials available in Egypt like dolomite, limestone, kaolin “clay”, sand from Sinai or Abu Znima sand, in addition to little quantity of sodium carbonate adding to them some chemical elements to cast the colored features.
